Flag Football continues to solidify its place as the future of sports. This summer, we saw its international debut at The World Games, a multi-sport event held in Birmingham, Alabama. And the USA men’s and women’s teams showed up in a big way, taking home the gold and silver, respectively. Catch a few highlights from the championship games here.

And this is just the beginning. With backing by organizations such as the NFL and youth sports leaders like Gridiron Football, talks are underway to include Flag Football in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. And middle schools, high schools and universities have begun promoting male and female flag football programs, and awarding scholarships and financial aid opportunities.

So there’s never been a better time, or more opportunities, for young athletes to experience non-contact football for themselves– no matter their age, gender or experience level.

Why Flag Football?

There’s always been a pretty traditional approach to reaching the highest levels of competitive sports like football. The same rules, play styles and equipment have been used for decades. But that’s starting to change. New, more forward-thinking leadership is taking over.

The result? With its fast paced, inclusive and educational style, Flag Football has become the fastest-growing youth and adult sport in America; and, in fact, the world. From first-timers to female high school football players in their first season, all are welcome. And for those looking to challenge themselves at the highest levels of competition, the opportunities are limitless.

What does this mean for your athlete?

At Gridiron Football, we’re here to support this growing movement and ensure your son or daughter has every opportunity to experience and grow with the game. Our inclusive environment and specialized football progression are just two of the aspects that set us apart. By providing each player, coach and parent with an amazing experience, we’re fulfilling our mission and duty to you– and to the game we all love.
